Changelog 0.2

- 2024-08-30

Last week we decided we ought to keep a public changelog, starting with the 0.1 release. Today marks Membrane's 0.2 release, which includes upgrades to Membrane Logs and (hopefully) better UX for new users when they first open the IDE.

Changelog 0.2

Improved Membrane Logs UI with timestamps and grefs (graph references). Each log entry now has an absolute timestamp to its left for easier program observability. Logs for graph queries and action invocations now include a nicely formatted gref, which is clickable to view in the Navigator. The log details panel now renders under the top bar to prevent layout shift.

Added quick start with example programs to welcome screen. Previously, when you signed up for Membrane, the IDE welcome screen had a lot of text and encouraged you to complete the getting-started tutorial program. We got feedback from users that starting with examples is preferred and helps Membrane "click" faster. We'll definitely iterate on these examples, so let us know what you want to see!

Fix schema editor bug for multiple missing types. When you export a function from a program without including it in the program's schema, the schema editor will suggest adding it. A bug made it difficult to interact with that UI when multiple exports were missing from the schema.
